Pat Tigrett does it again with an Evening of Elegance!!
Pat and her staff worked hard in planning and implementing the Policeman’s Ball held on April 2nd at the Gibson Guitar facility. Many days and hours went into making the event a success. The event lived up to its name and was enjoyed by all who attended. The Policeman’s Ball was dedicated to Director Larry Godwin to celebrate his upcoming retirement on April 14th. The Black Tie Affair presented a fun evening of music, dining, silent auctions, displays of technology used by the MPD, and chocolate waterfalls with wonderful hors d’oeuvres. Pat and her staff, led by Sandra Rutledge, exceeded all expectations and left everyone with memories that will not be forgotten. Pat presented the Memphis Police Foundation with a check for $30,000. The funds will be used to support the Memphis Police Department with technology that will make Memphis a safer city. What a wonderful event...

donated their time in making the event a success. As citizens drove by the locations, volunteers were standing
on the curb ready to collect donations from passing motorist. So, this event really did partner with the
community to raise over $6,000 for the day. The Memphis Police Foundation wishes to thank all our citizens for their
support and contributions.
The Woodland
Tree/Drake & Zeke Open
The Open was held on October 21st at the
Memphis National Golf Club located on
Houston
Levee Rd. This was the second annual tournament held and all 36 teams were sold
out for the tournament. Lunch was
catered by the Germantown Commissary and dinner was catered by Amerigo’s. All food, beverages and gift bags were provided for all
players of the tournament. A raffle was
held at the conclusion of the tournament with prizes such as: two flat screen
TVs, suite at the Marriot Nashville for two nights, two sets of two tickets for
Tiger Basketball, numerous gift certificates, golf equipment, etc. A lot of hard work and planning went into the
success of the tournament. The Memphis
Police Foundation would like to thank Terrance Arwood, Jared Houston, the staff
of Woodland Tree, Drake & Zeke, and Bobby O’Brien Pro for the Memphis National Golf Club,
for making the tournament run as smoothly as it did. Special thanks to all the companies and
individuals that provided sponsorships and teams. November 2nd on
the Drake & Zeke FM 98.1 radio show, Terran Arwood and Jared Houston presented the Memphis Police
Foundation with a check for $16,500. The
2011 tournament was enjoyed by all and the proceeds go to support the Memphis
Police Department in their fight on crime.
